How to order

      We will start by discussing ideas along with options.  It is all right if you don't know exactly what you want, I will try to guide you and make suggestions.

      The degree of Artistic freedom varies.  You can tell me just to design a table in my own style with very little parameters or you might have a particular idea of certain designs you have in mind or pictures, to show your tastes. 

      The initial discussion in which we determine the basic parameters is free.  When we feel comfortable with planned direction, it is time to start drawings.  Drawings take time and skill so I charge for them.  This is a small fee that helps get the ball rolling.  I can draw what I think our initial consulting has led to also it is a good time to look at wood samples.  The initial cost varies depending on complexity of design and you will not be obligated to proceed to the construction contract.

      When we are satisfied with the design, it is time for a contract that outlines the piece, with a descriptions outlining what is agreed on.  A fifty percent deposit is required to begin construction.  When the project is at half completion, a progress payment of twenty five percent is needed. Twenty five percent is due at completion prior to shipment.  If delivery is on Maui final payment can be made at that time.  Artwork leaving Maui require crating, packing and shipping.  These are additional charges,  I crate my own pieces, and shipping is done via air freight.  Maui delivery is free.
